Designed for homeowners relocating from Colorado, this residence reinterprets the warmth and tranquility of mountain architecture through the lens of South Florida’s tropical climate. The design embraces the owners’ desire to preserve the sense of openness, natural materials, and indoor-outdoor lifestyle they cherished in the Rockies while creating a home uniquely suited to its lush Florida setting.

The architecture is defined by a series of clean gabled forms, softened by warm wood soffits, textured limestone, and crisp white stucco. Dark metal accents provide contrast and reinforce the home’s contemporary character, while the restrained material palette allows the surrounding landscape to become an integral part of the composition. As one of the first residences in Broward County designed with a Tesla Solar Roof, the home seamlessly integrates advanced renewable energy technology into its architectural expression. Rather than treating sustainability as an applied feature, the roof system becomes an integral component of the design, preserving the home’s refined aesthetic while supporting long-term energy performance.
