The CONCEPT

This modern home is inspired by the Farnsworth House. This design is made to appear as if it were floating. Constructed on “peloti” piers and similar to the layout of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s original concept home which was designed as a weekend retreat about 55 miles southwest of Chicago. It replicates the modernist ‘International Style’ bringing the experience of outside to the interior through movable glass panels. The interior is enclosed by a roof plane supported by small steel tube columns. Our plan offers a rooftop garden deck option which can be used for entertainment, edible garden or for moonlight star gazing.
